Terms and Conditions
Why This Page Exists.
These terms set out how Cricket Matters operates — covering bookings, payments, conduct, and use of our services — so expectations are clear from the outset.
They exist to protect your time, our standards, and the integrity of the Cricket Matters system.
Policy Last Updated: January 2026
1. About These Terms.
These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of services by Cricket Matters, an assessment-led cricket injury and performance clinic based at Unit A6, Chapel Farm Industrial Estate, Cwmcarn, Newport, South Wales.
By booking a session, purchasing a membership, or using the Cricket Matters App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms.
For the purposes of these Terms, “the App” refers to the Cricket Matters performance platform used to deliver training programmes, assessment reports, and video-based analysis.
2. Bookings and Appointments.
All clinic sessions, assessments, and coaching appointments must be booked in advance via our online booking system or by direct arrangement.
Session availability is limited. Booking a session reserves a specific time slot at the Cwmcarn clinic and prevents it being offered to another athlete.
3. Payments.
3.1 Standard Sessions
Single assessments or coaching sessions are charged at the published rate (currently £90 per session unless otherwise stated) and are payable at the time of booking.
3.2 Membership Services
Clients enrolled in a Cricket Matters Membership receive services in accordance with their specific plan. Membership benefits are non-transferable and apply only to the named individual.
Minimum Commitment:
All Cricket Matters memberships carry a minimum commitment of three (3) months, unless otherwise stated at the point of signup. This reflects the time required for physiological adaptation, workload management, and meaningful performance development.
3.3 Failed Payments
If a membership payment fails, access to the Cricket Matters App, booking privileges, and services may be suspended until the outstanding balance is cleared.
4. Cancellations, No-Shows, and Refunds.
4.1 24-Hour Cancellation Policy
Cricket Matters operates a strict 24-hour cancellation policy.
- Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled start time may be rescheduled or cancelled at no charge.
- Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled start time will be charged 100% of the session fee.
- Failure to attend a session without notice (“no-show”) will be treated as a late cancellation and charged in full.
4.2 Membership Sessions
For members, a late cancellation or no-show will result in the forfeiture of that session credit.
4.3 Digital Services and Reports
Once a digital programme, assessment report, or analysis has been delivered via the Cricket Matters App or email, it is considered fulfilled and is non-refundable. This includes written reports, uploaded training plans, and video-based feedback.
5. Late Arrivals.
Session times are fixed.
If you arrive late, your session will still end at the scheduled time to avoid delaying the next athlete. No partial refunds or additional time will be provided.
6. Right to Refuse or Terminate Services.
Cricket Matters reserves the right to refuse or discontinue services where, following assessment, continued participation is deemed unsafe, inappropriate, or not clinically justified.
We also operate a zero-tolerance policy toward abusive, threatening, or inappropriate behaviour toward staff or other athletes. Such behaviour may result in immediate termination of services or membership without refund.
7. Physical Readiness and Disclosure.
By booking a session, you confirm that:
- You are physically fit to participate in cricket-specific training and assessment
- You have disclosed all known injuries, medical conditions, and relevant health information
- You will inform us of any new pain, injury, or medical change before commencing a session
Failure to disclose relevant information may increase injury risk and limits our ability to provide safe services.
8. Under-18 Clients.
All clients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the initial assessment. Safeguarding requirements apply at all times. Please refer to the Cricket Matters Safeguarding Policy for full details.
9. Performance Outcomes.
Cricket Matters provides assessment-led coaching and injury management based on best practice and professional judgement.
Performance improvements depend on multiple factors, including adherence to prescribed programmes, training history, recovery, and individual response. Specific performance outcomes cannot be guaranteed.
10. Intellectual Property and Use of Materials.
All reports, training plans, analysis, educational materials, and content delivered via the Cricket Matters App remain the intellectual property of Cricket Matters.
These materials are provided for personal use only. They may not be copied, shared, resold, or used for commercial coaching purposes without written permission.
Sharing App login credentials or redistributing content is a breach of these Terms.
11. Member Code of Conduct.
As a Cricket Matters member, you agree to uphold a professional performance environment.
11.1 Equipment and Facilities
All equipment must be used as instructed. Damage caused by reckless or negligent use may be charged to the member.
Clean indoor footwear must be worn. Cricket spikes are strictly prohibited inside the clinic.
11.2 Conduct
Disruptive, abusive, or inappropriate behaviour will result in immediate termination of membership without refund.
11.3 Hygiene and Safety
Members must use provided sanitisation facilities and maintain a clean environment for others.
12. Clinic-Initiated Changes.
Occasionally, sessions may need to be rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. staff illness or equipment failure). Where this occurs, we will offer a reschedule or credit.
13. Governing Law.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory consumer rights.
